The most common task of Beaver Patrol volunteers is to remove sticks from beaver dams, stream blockages, and other structures.
After removal the sticks are taken to specific piles. When those stick piles get too large the Forest Service will move then to a burn area.
There are a few structures in the area which routinely maintained to remove sticks and other vegetation.
Occasionally, a tree will fall to block a trail or access road. After high water events, trees and large branches will cause flooding, or block fish access. Volunteers will saw large wood into sections, to better enable removal of that large wood.
After agreement with the Forest Service the Beaver Patrol has worked on special projects to add rock to reduce trail flooding.
