Stellar's Jay

The only crested jay found west of the Rocky Mountains.  Normally inhabits coniferous forest areas.  Stellar's Jays are talented mimics.  Often they will imitate the sounds of hawks to scare off other animals.  Their vocalizations have been known to replicate sounds, not only of other birds, but also other animals and even sounds not from birds or animals.
